    Betty Williams, 70, of Malvern, passed away on Saturday June 14, 2014. She was born on September 18, 1943 to Lucille and Gus Williams and was a member of Sharon Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Betty was a licensed beautician and owned her own business until she retired. She loved growing her flowers and was very active in her church. Betty served her church family by doing anything that was needed, from cleaning and cooking to teaching Sunday school and being the song leader for many years. Betty was often referred to as the “Queen Bee” by her family and friends. Betty’s joy was her family and her flowers.
    Betty is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Delphia Heitman.
    Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her two sons, Danny (Cindy) Finney and James Finney, all of Malvern, her daughter Debbie Allen, of Malvern and two sisters; Pat Coston of Malvern and Louise Cook of California. She also leaves behind a very special niece, Shelia (David) Bankson of Poyen, a special brother-in-law Johnny Heitman, three grandchildren, Carrie (Ernie) Sexton of Malvern, Chris (Staci) Allen of Malvern, and Matt (Sarah) Allen of Poyen and ten great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held on Tuesday June 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Derwin Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Ernie Sexton, Matthew Allen, David Bankson, Steve Lucas, Ricky Barkley, Heath Loy, and Kevin Carson.
    Arrangements are entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern.
